God has a plan for your life. Jesus said, "For God so loved the world He gave his only begotton Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life." God's plan and desire for your life is for you to have eternal life.
Man has a sin problem. The Bible says in Romans 3:23, "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God." Sin means to miss the mark. Anything less than the perfection of Christ in our lives is sin. Sin separates us from Holy God and the consequence is spiritual death. Romans 6:23 says, "The wages of sin is death..."
Jesus is the only solution to the sin problem. Jesus Christ died on the cross to atone for mans sins. Romans 5:8 says, "God demonstrated his love toward us that while we were still sinners Christ died for us." Think of Jesus as a bridge between sinful man and Holy God. 1 Timothy 2:5 says, "God is on the one side and all the people are on the other side and Jesus Christ is between them to bring them together by giving his life for all mankind."
What does Jesus want you to do?
Admit that you are a sinner. 1 John 1:8-9 says, "If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
Repent (turn away) of sin. Acts 3:19 says, "Repent therefore and be converted that your sins may be blotted out..."
Believe that Jesus died and rose again from the dead. Romans 10:1 says, "If you confess that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead you will be saved."
Accept God's gift of eternal life. Grace offers the gift and faith receives the gift. Ephesians 2:8-9 says, "For by grace are you saved through faith, not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast."
Invite Jesus Christ into your life to be your Savior. John 1:12 says, "To all who receive Him, He gives the right to become children of God..."
Call on Jesus in prayer and ask him to forgive you, save you and give you eternal life. Romans 10:13 says, "Whosoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved."
If you have just prayed to receive Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, please let us know by responding here. We want to help you discover your new abundant life in Christ. In John 10:10, Jesus says, "I have come so that they may have life and have it in abundance." We would love to speak with you about the very first act of obedience to Christ through believer's baptism. Acts 19:5 says, "When they heard this, they were baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus." We want to rejoice with the angels in heaven in celebration of your decision to follow Jesus. Jesus said in Luke 15:10, "I tell you, in the same way, there is joy in the presence of God's angels over one sinner who repents." Take a moment to tell us you have received God's forgiveness and His gracious gift of eternal life through faith in Jesus here.
